Take heed...There is no doubt that we are going to run into a WOD or two, or three, each week that we don’t particularly care for.

Should we skip the day? I contend that we shouldn’t. Usually, we like what we are good at and,....well, you know the rest.

We need to work on our weaknesses.  Let’s challenge ourselves.  What fun would this be if everything came easy and we didn’t have to work at things to progress?  Not much!

So, the next time you are tempted to skip a WOD or conveniently dodge practicing a movement, face it head on. It’ll do you good.  You’ll also find you make a lot of progress working on those less liked things.

Lastly, don’t forget to smile while you do it. After all, this is fun.  It is fun because it is not easy.

We need the occasional (or daily) humbling. I maintain that each of us needs to be smacked in the face (proverbially) or to have our shins scraped or to give ourselves a good jump rope whip once in a while.  It reminds us that we are alive.  It is refreshing to feel.

Now, get after it!  Work hard and enjoy the grind!
